The CACHE file can divided into two different categories: folders or files bearing the name "cache" but with no extension, and files with the extension .cache. In the case of the first type, computer programs often have certain information that is accessed regularly by the user, and that access needs to be done as quickly as possible. This information will be stored in a cache. One example of this is the Mozilla Firefox browser. In the program's root directory a folder named cache exists, and stored in that folder are images, scripts, and other website objects that can be used in place of downloading new objects every time a specific page is loaded. All web browsers use cache storage, but not all use the name. Files in the web browser's cache folder can be opened using the web browser itself. The cache folder also may contain executable files or scripts associated with computer viruses. This folder makes a convenient place for virus authors to dump their malicious software, because even if the virus is detected and removed from the operating system, every access of the cache folder by the browser can trigger the virus to install again.

I really do love FileCure because it's so easy to use - you don't have to be some kind of computer guru to get just what you need!

Plug and play? Not even close. I spent a lot of time trying to get my new, so-called 'plug and play' scanner to work. I was about ready to take it back. ParetoLogic FileCure got it working and saved me a needless trip (and gas!!) back to the store.

I have to admit I'm no computer geek. When something goes wrong, I usually have to call someone to fix it and it costs me a lot of money. When my printer wouldn't work, a friend of mine suggested I try ParetoLogic FileCure a try. I figured it was worth a shot because I was going to have to pay for a geek anyway. I was so happy when it worked... and worked properly!

I figured the graphics card my grandson gave me was broken when I couldn't get it work on my computer. It turns out that I just didn't have the right driver. ParetoLogic FileCure got it workin.

Hello FileCure folks:
I can't thank you enough for this great product. I just bought a new Vista machine and had been having all kinds of problems. First it was my screen and once I got that fixed it was the printer . Finally, my son suggested I try your product. It worked great and continues to keep my computer working. Thanks you.

I hate paying a lot of money for anything. That's why I buy mostly used computer equipment. Last week I thought I got taken when I bought a scanner. It just would not work. ParetoLogic Driver Cure got it working. With the updates, it makes sure my stuff will keep working and that I don't have to pay more money.

I work at a school so my mom thinks I am some kind of computer whiz. I have wasted so much time trying to get her stuff to work. Our IT guy suggested I try ParetoLogic FileCure. It has been a godsend and has saved me a lot of wasted hours. My mom and I can't thank you enough.

My wife bought me a new Vista system, and ever since I have had problems with some of my hardware. I saw FileCure, and decided to give it a shot. Ever since, the Vista and my hardware have been working great. Thanks!

I upgraded my system to Vista, and my printer started to act funny. No error messages, but it just wasn't working quite right. I read that drivers could sometimes be the problem. I looked online and saw FileCure. After downloading FileCure, my printer works great. You guys rock!

Operating systems and various other programs use the cache name for specific individual files. These files perform the same function as the cache folder of a web browser. Information that is used regularly and needs to be accessed quickly is stored in the file. These files are generally plain text files that can be opened with s standard text editor. Errors with the cache files and folders are extremely rare due to the fact that they are automatically rebuilt by the software should they ever get deleted or damaged.

In the case of files with the .cache extension, two associations are known. The first is associated with Snacc-1.3, compiler used by software developers to create C or C++ routines from ASN 1 code. These .cache files perform the same function of being temporary storage of frequently needed information. A Snacc .cache file can generally be opened with a text editor, but unless the user is a software developer, the information will be useless to him. Since the .cache file is temporary and not included when compiling the ASN code, errors caused by it don't exist
The second association of the .cache extension belongs to a software package by the name of CAChe, a computer aided molecular design program to aid scientists in creating chemical models. These models can be tested and experimented with via the software without trying to create the physical model in the lab. In relation to this software the .cache file is a MolStruct output file containing the data that makes up the molecular structure of the model. This particular type of .cache file can be read only with the CAChe software, but third party conversion tools are available. One of those tools is Babel, a program used to covert between file formats used in various molecular modeling software suites. Babel cannot read the .cache modstruct file, but it can convert nearly three dozen other formats to .cache.
Errors with the .cache file are almost always caused by corrupt data or inappropriate file associations. Since the data in the .cache file is output data generated by the CAChe software, its contents are user-related rather than operational to the software. When installing the CAChe software, the installation program should create the necessary file associations. If an error is generated when clicking on a .cache file, either the file associations are incorrect or the file is corrupt. Occasionally the CAChe program itself becomes corrupted, not allowing .cache data to be opened. In this case, a complete removal of the package followed by re-installation may restore the usability of the output files. CAChe and Babel are both older programs that currently have limited support.
